Dr. Judith Orloff is a psychiatrist, intuitive, and author of Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing: Five Steps to Physical, Emotional and Sexual Wellness. On this one-hour interview with Michael Toms, she discusses the manifold ways individuals can tap into the inner wisdom we all possess. Orloff is training physicians and other health care professionals to become more sensitive to the intuitive insights and dream lives of their patients. People are often able to feel that something is not quite right in their bodies. She says it is important to seek immediate treatment when we have a hunch about an illness.

By paying attention to our intuitive sense, we are able to connect more deeply with other people. But, Orloff warns, we do need to be careful not to allow ourselves to be drained by the toxins of other people's energies. She talks about how our intuitive faculties often come alive most vividly in the transitional state just before death. She advises that couples sleep together (without sex) before marriage in order to gauge each other's subtle energies. She also believes that there is no such thing as "casual sex." In an act of such intimacy, subtle energies are always exchanged and individuals are changed.
