Carol Howard Merritt, a Presbyterian minister, and Tyler Wigg-Stevenson, a minister and founder of Two Futures Project, a movement of Christians for the global abolition of nuclear weapons, cite a Barna poll in which 47% of adults say they're less comfortable with violence than 10 years ago. In this brief book, they point to the many headed monster of violence in school shootings, war, bullying, and domestic abuse. 32% of practicing Christians and 19% of adults in another Barna poll rank violence in entertainment as one of their two major concerns about violence. As an antidote , the authors suggest praying for peace every day.
