Bulldozer is all revved up about his birthday. But across the construction site, there is no sign that any of his buddies remember it. The big Digger Truck is hard at work scooping; Dump Truck cannot think about anything but sifting; Cement Mixer is focused on stirring; Scraper, Grader, Roller Truck, and Crane are all pre-occupied with their labors. Or so it seems to Bulldozer who is immensely surprised at the end of the day when his hard-working friends throw him a big party.
It's easy for children to get their expectations up and then be disappointed when what they hoped for doesn't happen. This charming book acknowledges those feelings while also having a happy ending. It's recommended for children ages 4 – 7.
