Sandra Ingerman works as a psychotherapist and shamanic practitioner and teaches workshops internationally on shamanic journeying, healing, and reversing environmental pollution using spiritual methods. She has trained shamanic teachers and founded an international alliance of Medicine for the Earth Teachers. She is recognized for bringing ancient cross-cultural healing methods into our modern culture, addressing the needs of our times.

Ingerman received her M.A. in counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and is a licensed therapist and counselor in the state of New Mexico. She is a board certified expert on traumatic stress and certified in acute traumatic stress management. Ingerman is also a licensed Marriage and Family therapist and Professional Mental Health Counselor. She was awarded the 2007 Peace Award from the Global Foundation for Integrative Medicine.

Ingerman is devoted to teaching people how to work together as a global community to bring about positive change for the planet. She has taught with Michael Harner, and was the Educational Director for the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, where she served on the Board of Trustees. Currently she serves on the Board of Directors of the Society for Shamanic Practitioners.
