Wonder yields new insights and sensations. Remember this as you pray.

Breathing in: O let me sense . . .
Breathing out: the world anew.

A Blessing for Wonder
May you experience the wonders of nature that surround you each day and night with gratitude and attention.
May you see with the eyes of a child who embraces everything for the first time with wonder and awe.
May you say oh wow when a rose blooms, a sunset paints the horizon orange, a high note is sung with passion and precision, when a baby crawls and a toddler walks.
May you be astonished with wonder upon awakening each morning that you have been given the gift of a new day.
May you wonder before you fall asleep what you will dream this night and what the next day will bring.
May you walk in wonder, speak with wonder, pray for wonder.
May you be blessed with a wonder-filled life.

Help Me Listen
O Holy One
I hear and say so many words,
yet yours is the word I need.
Speak now,
and help me listen
and, if what I hear is silence,
let it quiet me,
let it disturb me,
let it touch my need,
let it break my pride,
let it shrink my certainties,
let in enlarge my wonder.

Open My Mind
Open my mind
to understand
that what appears to be
the natural order of things
is in truth miraculous
in every way.
