This breath prayer is a variation on Jesus' admonition that we love our enemies.

Breathing in: I love . . .
Breathing out: my inner enemies.

A Blessing for Shadow
May you come to know and love all the parts of you that others can see but are often hidden from your awareness.
May you be given a loved one who kindly shows you your shadow selves so that you can befriend them.
May you walk with lightness and love embracing the dark side of your moon.
May you welcome your shadows with reverence, kindness, mercy, and love.
May you trust that light and dark, bright and shade, shadow and true self, are all working together for God’s glory.

Escalator Prayer
As I ascend this stair
I pray for all who are in despair.
All who have been betrayed
All who are dismayed
All who are distressed
All who feel depressed
All ill and in pain
All who are driven insane
All whose hope has flown
All who are alone
All homeless on the street
All who with danger meet.
Lord, who came down to share our plight,
Lift them into your love and light.
